What is Sage CRM?

Sage CRM is the customer relationship layer that many South African businesses add when their Sage accounting system needs a proper front office. Its natural home is alongside Sage 200 Evolution: sales reps see a customer's full trading history, credit position and open orders from the books without leaving the CRM, which turns account management into something informed rather than guesswork. Pipeline, quotes, cases and marketing campaigns all live in one place.

For a mid sized SA sales team it covers the essentials well, contact and opportunity management, sales forecasting, a service desk for logging and tracking customer cases, and email marketing, with dashboards that give managers a read on the pipeline. It is offered both in the cloud and on premise, which suits businesses with connectivity or data residency concerns. Pricing is per user through Sage partners on a quotation, and the value case rests heavily on that tight link back to Sage financials.

We host it on premise, which suited our connectivity and data concerns. Mobile is functional rather than slick.

The service desk keeps cases from slipping
