Good but not perfect for our Paarl team

It does the accounting brilliantly and the localisation adequately. There is no local payroll, so we pair it with a SA payroll product and post journals across. The VAT configuration needed our accountant's help, the defaults are not South African.

The core experience is superb, the periphery is patchy. The price has climbed every year and the promo to full price jump surprises people.

Doing the job for us in Knysna

As a Polokwane business we hesitated over an American product, and the rand pricing plus VAT support settled it. It scaled from two of us to a proper finance function without changing systems. The books run themselves now, mostly.

After 2 years the strengths are obvious and so are the gaps. The price has climbed every year and the promo to full price jump surprises people. Month end became a checklist instead of an expedition.

A world class product that sometimes forgets which country it is in. Reports are deep but the defaults need localising before the auditors see them.

Moved to a local competitor and relaxed

The software is polished but our feed problems never fully went away. We needed a VAT201 layout and built it ourselves in Excel every period.

It never felt like it was built for a South African business, because it was not. Duplicate transactions from a feed reconnect polluted a whole VAT period.

A quiet workhorse for 2 years now

My accountant works directly in our file every month, and the collaboration is seamless. Bank transactions from Absa arrive overnight and the matching suggestions are usually right. Genuinely world class software that happens to work in rand.

Our accountant in Roodepoort recommended it, good call

The VAT figures reconcile to the cent against what we file with SARS. VAT at 15% flows through invoicing, bills and reports without special handling. Quotes, invoices and statements all carry our branding properly. The books run themselves now, mostly.

Good software with a support experience that depends on who answers. The feed needs reauthenticating every few months, always discovered at a bad time. The mobile app is a proper working tool, not a brochure version of the desktop.

Good but not perfect for our Klerksdorp team

Excellent software wearing a few American assumptions. The VAT configuration needed our accountant's help, the defaults are not South African. The accountant access is free and our accountant already knew the product well.
